JEAN FERGUSON

Jean Eloise Ferguson, our beloved wife, mother and grammie, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Jean was born on October 4, 1928 in Bakersfield California to parents Lyle and Beulah Clow along with a sister , Margaret and brother, Robert.

Jean worked at Cal Poly as a Secretary where she met the love of her life, Howard Ferguson. They were married on July 5, 1952 and were married 70 years. They moved to Lodi after Howard took a teaching position at Daniel Webster middle school, and raised 3 children.

Jean was an active member of GracePoint Church, which included the choir, teaching children’s Sunday school, VBS leadership, women’s ministries, and Gideons International. Jean was an exceptional seamstress and was involved with the church’s quilting ministry, as well as helped at the Crisis Pregnancy Resource Center.

Howard and Jean traveled extensively and played golf during their retirement years. Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jean is predeceased by her parents, sister, and brother.

She is survived by her husband Howard, sons Ted (Jeri) Ferguson, Dan (Melinda) Ferguson and daughter Becky (Mike) Kaminski, grandchildren Daniel(Kristen) Ferguson, Colleen Ferguson, Jeff Kaminski, Katie (Greg) Gresham, Ryan (Alissa) Ferguson, Scott (Kelisha) Ferguson, Emily (Evan) Jarms, and 10 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 Saturday February 18, at GracePoint Church, 801 S. Lower Sacramento Road, Lodi.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to GracePoint Church or Gideons International.
